Senior Nutrition
Nutrition is often overlooked or forgotten at doctors’ appointments when there’s limited time and a lot to discuss. Yet, adequate nutrition can vastly improve quality of life and is necessary for optimal physical and cognitive function. It’s also proven to help prevent and manage chronic disease (such as malnutrition) as well as reduce disease-related disabilities.
For seniors, I conduct a thorough nutrition assessment and carefully evaluate their needs and goals so I can provide a detailed treatment plan. Follow up sessions are used to monitor progress and make modifications to the treatment plan. I’m always happy to include family members and caregivers if requested.
